Electricity has been reduced by 4 rupees 88 paise for the consumers of Karachi.

According to the notification issued by Nepra, electricity has been made cheaper under the August fuel charges adjustment.

According to the Nepra notification, the reduction in electricity price will not be applicable to Lifeline and domestic consumers up to 300 units per month.

According to the Nepra notification, K Electric customers will get this relief in their October bills.

It may be recalled that Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPAG) had requested an increase of 22 paise per unit, Nepra has approved an increase of 19 paise per unit in view of the August fuel charges adjustment.

It should be noted that the authority held a public hearing on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on September 29, 2022.
