Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was directed to immediately remove all obstacles in the way of foreign investment in the country.

A high-level meeting on investment in the country was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in which federal ministers Miftah Ismail, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Ahsan Iqbal, and Tariq Fatemi also participated.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on energy, infrastructure, railway, and port infrastructure projects.

The prime minister was told that an immediate investment of 1 to 2 billion dollars is expected in the first phase, these projects will create more than 45 thousand employment opportunities, which will improve Pakistan's ease of doing business index.

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that all obstacles in the way of foreign investment in the country should be removed immediately, especially Chinese investment companies should be provided facilities on a priority basis, and visas for Chinese workers. Discrimination between the workers of CPEC and other companies should be ended.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also announced the establishment of a committee to solve the problems of foreign investment companies. The committee will also look into the problems of companies investing in Gwadar Free Zone and prepare a detailed report and recommendations within 10 days. Will send it to the Prime Minister.
