Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail says that Pakistan is out of trouble, and there is no risk of default.



Miftah Ismail, while giving an interview to the global magazine 'Bloomberg', said that Pakistan will make all external payments on time, and the IMF program will facilitate debt payments.



He said that the increase in prices was done to obtain loans from the IMF, and the increase in prices reduced the demand.



The finance minister said that the strict measures had reduced imports, with imports falling by 35 percent in July.



He further said that the reduction in imports will reduce the current account deficit, and the reduction in imports and demand will reduce the pressure on the rupee.
