Addressing the event in Karachi, he said that no one wants to pay taxes in Pakistan.

The finance minister said that they are asking for money from every country, there is a lot of shame in this situation.

Miftah Ismail said that Tehreek-e-Insaf signed an agreement with the IMF, then violated it.

He said that PTI signed an agreement with the IMF in November and then broke the agreement by subsidizing fuel.

He says that after coming into government, our first priority was to restore the IMF program.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that we took difficult decisions in difficult times.

He said that immediately after taking over the government, he approached the IMF, saving the country from default.

Miftah Ismail said that Pakistan's population is growing at 2.4 percent, if the growth becomes 5 percent, the current account deficit increases.

He said that during the Musharraf era, the current account deficit was 8 percent, due to which the People's Party government had to go into the IMF program.

He further says that 80% of Pakistan's industrial production is sold at the local level, if wheat is not sown in time in Sindh, flour will be expensive.
