Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that our growth model is upside down, one percent of people are controlling the country.

Addressing the event in Karachi, Miftah Ismail said that mobile phones worth 2 billion come into the country while our total export is 30 billion dollars.

He said that we tried to improve the agreement made by PTI-era finance minister Shaukat Tareen with the IMF.

The former finance minister added that when he took over the ministry's portfolio, the foreign exchange reserves were 10 billion dollars.

He said that I have been the Federal Finance Minister for 5 months and have been in jail for the same number of months.

Miftah Ismail also said that the one percent controls the country, where the richest 570 people are given loans at the rate of 1 percent.
