The Lahore High Court dismissed the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Andalib Abbas for the disqualification of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and ministers.

A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the application of Andalib Abbas for the disqualification of Shehbaz Sharif and ministers for meeting with the advertising accused.

Justice Shahid Waheed asked the petitioner's lawyer, Asad Manzoor Butt, under what authority the Election Commission can disqualify the Prime Minister, to which the lawyer replied, Give me time.

Justice Shahid Waheed expressed his indignation and said, What time did you give, you did the case during the holidays, you did not prepare, you put this petition in the office during the holidays, but you don't know under which law. The Election Commission can disqualify the prime minister or the ministers.

Petitioner's counsel Asad Manzoor Butt requested the court to give me some time, we will amend the petition and file it again.

Justice Shahid Waheed remarked that it is better to withdraw the application and file again than you bring the client to the court without a guide.

Lahore High Court dismissed the application on the basis of the withdrawal of an appeal by Andlib Abbas.
