A seminar on the registration of Pakistani sellers in the UN Global Marketplace was held in Islamabad.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing the virtual business seminar on this occasion said that this seminar was conducted to promote the registration of Pakistani vendors with the UN Global Market Place. The United Nations receives a significant amount of goods and services from suppliers around the world.

Bilawal Bhutto said that last year the purchase of the United Nations was 29.6 billion US dollars. The share of countries like the USA and Mexico in total purchase is more than 2.3 billion dollars.

He further said that countries like China, Switzerland, and India provided goods and services worth more than 1 billion dollars every year. The purpose of the business seminar is to provide Pakistani business organizations with a better understanding of the UN procurement system.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs said that it is hoped that this webinar will help in the awareness of the procurement system of the United Nations.
