Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that I and the Governor State Bank have signed the letter of intent of the IMF.

On this occasion, the journalist asked the finance minister whether the government is going to impose new taxes through the ordinance. In response, Miftah Ismail said that any decision in this regard will be taken by the Prime Minister.

In response to a question about allowing sugar mills to export surplus sugar, the finance minister said that a decision would be taken after the summary comes to the Economic Coordination Committee.

The finance minister said that the provincial and federal governments have failed to educate half of the country's children, and schools for girls must be opened.

Miftah Ismail further said that if the children of one generation are educated, the problems of the next generation will be solved.

The finance minister said that out of the 30 billion dollars, 20 billion dollars are exports of textiles.

It should be noted that the last hurdle in the way of the agreement between Pakistan and the IMF was removed last week when the IMF received the letter of acceptance for the agreement.

The letter of intent received by Pakistan was to be signed and sent back to the IMF.
